Inventory vs. inventory. What are the differences and when are they performed?
- Knowledge base
The vast majority of entrepreneurs, at least once a year, must pick up a calculator and accurately count the assets of their company. Firstly, this is required by law, and secondly, it gives a picture of the company's financial and asset situation. This is extremely useful when irregularities are suspected, but also, for example, before selling the company or liquidating the business. An entrepreneur may also simply want to know how the company's mechanisms work and whether there are reserves of operations. The company may also be forced to do so, if only by a decision of the Head of the Tax Office. Although the inventory and the stocktaking are two almost identical concepts, there are, however, some subtle differences that make it worthwhile to thoroughly understand the specifics and purpose of both. What is the difference between the inventory andthe stocktaking? First of all, regardless of what we call it, the control of the state of the company is an extremely important issue. It gives us a sense of peace of mind and a real picture of the entire enterprise. Based on the data collected in this way, it is possible not only to correctly account for the Fiscal, but also to implement a number of corrective measures to improve certain processes in the company.
Inventory
What is an inventory? Is it the same as an inventory? Although both terms are used interchangeably nowadays, it is worth knowing that inventory is rather the totality of all activities aimed at determining the condition of a company's assets. It is also the inventory that is the term found in the laws that obligate the entrepreneur to keep accounts. The inventory report is the basis for updating the ledger. The differences between an inventory and an inventory are primarily in the sphere of the scope of activities. There are different types of inventory, it can be carried out continuously, but also cyclically. Intervention inventories are those that are often carried out unannounced. Most often as a result of the entrepreneur's knowledge that someone is illegally managing the company's assets.
Remanent
Although the terms are used interchangeably, an inventory as a physical inventory may nevertheless be conducted at the will of the entrepreneur. There may be several reasons for such a will, and among the most important are the desire to establish the actual state of the company's assets and finances, the liquidation of the business, or preparation for the sale of the company. Then such an inventory, together with a detailed valuation of assets and liabilities, as well as a comparison of this data with accounting documents, gives a complete picture of the company. It affects the final valuation of the entire company, so you may want to consider engaging a special company to perform inventory service at the highest level. In this way, the entrepreneur firstly gains a complete picture of the company, and secondly has the assurance that the service is carried out by knowledgeable people.
What is the difference between an inventory and an inventory?
Inventoryand inventory differ in that the former activity does not have to be carried out under compulsion by law. In the context of an inventory, on the other hand, it refers to the date up to three months before the end of the fiscal year as the beginning and the fifteenth day of the new fiscal year as the end of all related activities. By this date, the data acquired through the inventory should also be applied to the income and expense ledger. Is an inventory the same as an inventory? Not exactly, but nowadays in the Polish language these terms have acquired almost equal meaning. The subtle semantic difference means that, in fact, the boundary is already blurred and many people use these words interchangeably. The group still often includes a physical inventory. Remanent and inventoryare actually the same thing, although the scale of inventory activities is, however, quite different. However, you need to prepare very well for both activities. It is useful to verify one's reluctant attitude to this type of activity, as it has often made it possible to save a company collapsing for an unknown reason.
